End Racial Injustice and Police Brutality Campaign
In June of 2020, 3 Dollar Challenge found it necessary to pivot from their COVID Relief campaign towards supporting Black Lives Matter and Campaign Zero in light of George Floyd’s tragic death. 3 Dollar Challenge was created to use the power of social media and our community to support causes that need our immediate attention. This campaign aimed to harness the power and resources that 3 Dollar Challenge created and direct them in the fight against racism and police brutality. Black Lives Matter strives to end racism and promote justice for the black community and Campaign Zero aims to put an end to police violence so that “we can live in a world where the police don’t kill people” (Campaign Zero). The campaign raised $3,391from 871 donors, which was split evenly between the two organizations.
